California Licensed Privacy Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Privacy Counsel to join their growing Legal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the global privacy program and advise on privacy, data protection, healthcare, and AI matters
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess legal risk and develop compliance policies and procedures
• Monitor legal developments related to privacy and data protection laws and provide legal support for incident responses

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. bar membership in at least one jurisdiction
• At least one IAPP certification (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, and/or AIGP)
• 3-5 years of relevant privacy experience, including at least 2 years in-house
• Experience with privacy, data protection, marketing, and AI laws and regulations
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects
