Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Loan Underwriter Senior to evaluate credit risk and determine borrowers' ability to repay residential mortgages.

Key Responsibilities

• Review loan packages for completeness and compliance with policies
• Analyze financial data to assess borrowers' repayment capacity and document risk mitigation strategies
• Mentor and train junior underwriters while performing second-level reviews of their work

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of underwriting experience in a financial services or mortgage banking environment
• Experience with jumbo and super jumbo underwriting to investor or organizational guidelines
• Familiarity with state and federal lending regulations
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related discipline with extensive mortgage banking experience
• Proficiency in mortgage industry standard software and Microsoft applications
