Job Summary

A company is looking for a Health Record Coder III Full Time Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Train new staff on coding systems and serve as a resource for existing coding staff
• Ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and operative procedures for various purposes
• Abstract and analyze all discharged and outpatient surgery records

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five years of coding experience in an acute care facility using ICD-10-CM and CPT coding
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and general office practices
• Familiarity with state and federal laws governing the release of medical information
• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification
