Job Summary

A company is looking for a Correspondent Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite Non-QM Loans by reviewing and assessing loan applications to ensure compliance with guidelines
• Conduct Risk Assessment by analyzing borrower profiles and making underwriting decisions based on risk
• Ensure Compliance by maintaining knowledge of regulatory changes and ensuring all loans meet legal requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience, including 2 years of manual underwriting experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial information
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws related to mortgage lending
• Proficiency in underwriting software and loan origination systems
• Knowledge of Non-QM products and guidelines is preferred
