Data Protection Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Data Protection and Governance Lead (Home Based).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and review of data protection policies and ensure compliance with international standards
• Conduct data protection impact assessments and manage data breaches while promoting a culture of responsible data use
• Provide policy guidance on the use of AI and collaborate with stakeholders to integrate responsible AI principles into data strategies

Required Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in Data Science, Data Management, Computer Science, Law, Public Administration, or related field
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in data privacy, protection, and/or legal/regulatory compliance
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing data privacy policies and risk assessments
• Knowledge of data governance and project management experience
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another UN language is advantageous
