Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead governance processes to improve data quality, lineage, retention, and access
• Design and optimize secure data pipelines and drive adoption of common security data models
• Manage Splunk ES environments, tuning performance and ensuring efficient onboarding and search capabilities

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, architecture, and distributed systems, with at least 5 years focused on data security
• Experience mapping fields to security models like OCSF, CEF, CIM, or ECS
• Success in designing and managing data pipelines, including experience with Cribl
• Hands-on experience with Splunk ES administration and infrastructure management
• Proficiency in big data technologies such as Spark, Iceberg, Hive, Trino, or Hadoop
