Job Summary
A company is looking for a Director of Organizing and Field Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and develop district representatives and organizers
- Oversee contract negotiations and develop campaign plans for legislative issues and worksite problems
- Lead external organizing campaigns and ensure member participation in union programs
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least five years of experience as a union staff person responsible for representation and program implementation
- Experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements and developing contract campaigns
- Strong database and computer skills, with the ability to perform data analysis
- Knowledge of labor law related to organizing and experience with NLRB elections
