About the position

Responsibilities
• Provide financial coordination and technical support for FEMA reimbursement processes.
• Ensure all documentation required for FEMA reimbursement is complete, organized, and accurate.
• Support the development and implementation of financial record-keeping for the agency’s COVID-19 response.
• Collaborate closely with a team and report directly to the FEMA Reimbursement Manager.

Requirements
• Three (3) or more years of experience in accounting, auditing, or budgeting, or in a finance role within accounting, auditing, budgeting, finance, or a related fiscal program management field.
• Completion of a formal post-high school education or certificate program with a focus on business administration, accounting, auditing, budgeting, finance, or a closely related field; AND one (1) or more years of experience in accounting, auditing, or budgeting, or in a finance role within accounting, auditing, budgeting, finance, or a related fiscal program management field.
• Experience with MS Office or comparable systems for data input, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience in an incident management team during an actual emergency response.
• Completed Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200, 700, and 800 level training.
• Two (2) or more years of experience working in a governmental environment with accounting, budget, contracts or grants.
• Two (2) or more years of professional experience using state accounting systems – AFRS, Enterprise Reporting, and Web Intelligence.
• Advanced knowledge of Washington State accounting policies and procedures.
