Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist for a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and verify patient information for scheduled medical services, including demographic, financial, and insurance details
  • Initiate contact with insurance companies to obtain eligibility and perform collections on outstanding accounts
  • Process patient payments and ensure pre-certification authorization is in place before services are rendered
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.; business concentration preferred
  • Four or more years of experience in a business office setting, preferably in a hospital revenue cycle or healthcare environment
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is required
  • Associate degree or higher is preferred
  • Knowledge of third-party collections and reimbursement is preferred
