Financial Patient Account Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Financial Patient Accounts Assistant to assist guarantors in resolving billing issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist guarantors in resolving billing issues and determining acceptable payment options
• Follow up on accounts until resolution in accordance with policies and compliance guidelines
• Handle bankruptcy adjustments and communicate with government agencies and third-party entities

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in business or a healthcare-related program preferred
• Two years of relevant healthcare or collection experience preferred
• Knowledge of billing and collection principles and applicable laws in healthcare collections preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications and healthcare systems preferred
• Minimum of two years' experience in a hospital or clinic billing environment preferred
