Job Summary
A company is looking for a Financial Patient Accounts Assistant to assist guarantors in resolving billing issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist guarantors in resolving billing issues and determining acceptable payment options
- Follow up on accounts until resolution in accordance with policies and compliance guidelines
- Handle bankruptcy adjustments and communicate with government agencies and third-party entities
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in business or a healthcare-related program preferred
- Two years of relevant healthcare or collection experience preferred
- Knowledge of billing and collection principles and applicable laws in healthcare collections preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications and healthcare systems preferred
- Minimum of two years' experience in a hospital or clinic billing environment preferred
