Job Summary
A company is looking for a Fisheries Biologist to provide program support for the National Marine Fisheries Service in conducting interagency consultations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct ESA, MMPA, and MSA program consultation and document preparation activities
- Respond to inquiries and provide pre-consultation technical assistance to action agencies and applicants
- Prepare documentation for consultations and ensure compliance with relevant statutes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in biological sciences, engineering, or natural resource management with emphasis in relevant fields, plus five years of related experience
- Knowledge of ESA, MMPA, and MSA consultation processes
- Experience with biological, economic, or social analyses for natural resource conservation
- Valid driver's license
- Experience assessing impacts of human activities on marine species and habitats
