Job Summary
A company is looking for a Coder 3 (10K Sign-On Bonus).
Key Responsibilities
- Review inpatient and IVR medical records, assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS/CPT-4 HCPCS codes accurately
- Abstract demographic and coding information into the EMR and ensure correct DRG/APC assignment
- Manage coding responsibilities, resolve coding edits, and assist with backlogged accounts as needed
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care inpatient and/or IVR coding experience
- Certifications in coding are preferred upon hire (e.g., Cert Coding Spec, Cert Prof Coder)
- Experience in maintaining high accuracy in coding and DRG assignment
- Ability to work in a remote environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
