Job Summary
A company is looking for an IBM Service Support Technician II to provide Level 2 technical support for IBM systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for IBM systems, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
- Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance, including firmware updates and backups
- Respond to incidents and service requests, documenting troubleshooting steps and participating in root cause analysis
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Level 2 technical support for IBM systems
- Hands-on experience with IBM Power Systems, zSeries, and storage solutions
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- IBM Certified Specialist and ITIL v3/v4 certification preferred
- In-depth experience with Power Server platforms and familiarity with ITIL-based case management systems
