Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Audit Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient facility coding audits for various review types using appropriate coding assignments
• Provide rationale for identified changes in coding, referencing documentation accurately
• Deliver coder education through the auditing process while maintaining a professional demeanor

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing
• CCS certification required; RHIA or RHIT preferred
• Maintain a 95% DRG accuracy rate
• Experience with software such as Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience as an IP Auditor; experience with onboarding QA and SLAs
