A company is looking for an Insurance Follow Up Representative.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact insurance companies to secure and expedite payments through follow-up and appeals resolution processes
- Ensure accounts are properly billed and reimbursed to contribute to the financial viability of the organization
- Act as a functional leader or reference source in communication between patients, insurance companies, and departmental staff
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Two years post high school education or an AA degree preferred
- Related health care or insurance industry experience
- Knowledge of Federal and State billing requirements preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of patient accounting experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration may substitute for experience
