Kansas Licensed Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Network Security Engineer who will serve as a technical expert and mentor within the network security team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multi-vendor firewall configurations and support secure network architectures in hybrid environments
• Act as a subject matter expert for network security, guiding internal teams and assisting in the development of firewall management solutions
• Build and maintain test labs for R&D, develop integration requirements, and provide technical assistance for complex network security scenarios

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 7-10+ years of hands-on experience in network security engineering with expertise in firewall configuration and management, Cisco networking, and F5 load balancing
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid network connectivity
• Strong background in security device management, including firewalls, IPS, routers, and switches
• Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash, or similar) to support automation and efficiency
