Licensed Legal Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their in-house legal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial technology agreements, including software licenses and cloud services
• Provide legal guidance on company transactions and monitor changes in laws and regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage projects that benefit the Legal team

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution
• 4+ years of experience in a legal counsel role, preferably in technology cloud/SAAS services
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state or Canadian province (Ontario preferred)
• Experience drafting and negotiating various agreements, particularly in the IT sector
• Strong academic record and experience in a law firm or corporate environment
