Managed Care Billing Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Managed Care Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain insurance approval prior to the initiation of patient services
• Ensure insurance referrals are received and manage billing and collections activities
• Provide training and support on managed care billing practices and maintain records of billing activities

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
• 2-3 years of experience in managed care billing and collections required
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement practices
• Familiarity with healthcare billing software and systems (e.g., EPIC, IPORT) and Microsoft Excel is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
