Medical Director - Texas Licensed

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Director - Post-Acute Care - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily utilization oversight and external communication with network physicians and hospitals
• Conduct peer-to-peer conversations for clinical case reviews and share tools for cost-effective healthcare delivery
• Develop action plans and programs to implement strategic initiatives and monitor progress toward goals

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized accredited medical school
• Current, unrestricted medical license with the ability to obtain licensure in multiple states
• Board certified in a recognized ABMS specialty, such as Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Physiatry
• 3+ years of experience practicing in an acute inpatient environment with managed care organizations
• Understanding of population-based medicine, preferably with experience in Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial populations
