Medicare Claims Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medicare Specialist who will assist in resolving aged medical claims and managing Medicare accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Resolve cash-generating accounts to enhance revenue for clients and the company
• Review Medicare claims to determine their status and post adjustments on various facility systems
• Work on denials and appeals in a timely manner, ensuring accurate account notes and maintaining production criteria

Qualifications and Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; some college or a degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience with traditional Medicare claims and DDE Direct Data Entry system
• Able to type 50 wpm
• Experience with Health Information Systems is beneficial
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
