A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter I.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite mortgage loan files in compliance with guidelines and policies
• Perform preliminary and final underwriting reviews, ensuring accuracy and adherence to requirements
• Monitor mortgage pipeline and collaborate with vendors to facilitate the loan process

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field preferred; experience may substitute for degree
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a financial institution
• Hands-on experience with Encompass within the last 12 months
• Knowledge of the mortgage process from origination to post-closing
• Familiarity with secondary market guidelines and regulatory requirements
