Network Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Network Engineer (WAN) for a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage medium to large networks focusing on IP routing, switching, and security
• Utilize hands-on experience with MPLS, OSPF, and BGP to optimize network performance
• Document solutions with diagrams and descriptions, ensuring clarity and accuracy for operational success

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Experience with Cisco Nexus, ASR, Catalyst, and Palo Alto Networks
• Hands-on skills with Cisco IOS-XE; knowledge of IOS-XR and Nexus OS is preferred
• Understanding of real-time traffic queuing and prioritization on LAN and WAN networks
• Proven ability to implement solutions involving large data centers and site-to-site IPSEC VPNs
• Strong data-driven analytical approach to solving complex challenges
