Job Summary
A company is looking for a Pharmacy Concierge Technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports all Concierge service related activities from prescription intake to bedside delivery at time of patient discharge
- Coordinates the discharge prescription process among prescribers, nursing, and pharmacy staff
- Collaborates with internal team members, insurance companies, and prescription benefit administrators to coordinate drug coverage or resolve denials
Required Qualifications and Education
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a community-based retail or hospital outpatient pharmacy
- Associate's Degree program preferred; Pharmacy Technician certification may be required in some states
- Proficiency in outpatient prescription program payer/PBM billing and issue resolution
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including experience with Pharmacy Operating Systems and Microsoft Office
- Direct experience with Patient Assistance Programs and/or indigent drug programs is highly desired
