Carbon Markets Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Carbon Markets Technical Specialist (Home-Based).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advisory support on carbon markets readiness and facilitate the development of tools and knowledge products
• Advise government counterparts on funding sources for carbon finance and establish a private sector network for carbon projects
• Support capacity building through workshops and training sessions for governmental officials and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Advanced University Degree (master's degree) in Environment Engineering, Technology, Finance, Economics, or a related field; or a bachelor's degree with additional experience
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience with a strong background in carbon markets establishment
• Proven ability to manage the preparation of carbon projects across various sectors
• Strong knowledge of Article 6 UNFCCC decisions and independent carbon crediting programs is desirable
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another UN language is a plus
