Job Summary
A company is looking for a Collection Specialist I who will provide phone service while collecting payments for medical expenses.
Key Responsibilities
- Place and receive calls to/from patients to collect payment for medical expenses and negotiate repayment terms
- Document patient information and resolve inquiries using internal technology platforms
- Educate patients on the healthcare revenue cycle and follow department processes in compliance with regulations
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED (Completed or Actively Enrolled)
- 1+ year of experience in a customer service capacity preferred
- 1+ year of experience contributing to a team culture of learning and growth preferred
- Fluency in Spanish in a professional setting is helpful
- Proficient in typing 45 words per minute and using Microsoft Office Suite preferred
