A company is looking for a Counsel to join their Legal team, focusing on the Payroll & Team Management business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and advise cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle, focusing on payroll and employee-related products
- Provide practical legal advice on product compliance, consumer protection, privacy, and contract matters
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and addressing customer contractual inquiries
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school; active state bar membership
- 5-10 years of legal experience, preferably in-house with payroll or HR service providers or fast-paced technology companies
- Deep expertise in product, regulatory compliance, privacy, and consumer protection laws
- Proven experience advising product teams throughout the product lifecycle and drafting complex agreements
- Knowledge of multi-state employment laws and advertising law compliance
