New York Licensed Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Nurse Practitioner - Chemical Dependency.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain detailed patient histories and collaborate with the team to monitor treatment effects and patient progress
• Interact regularly with patients seeking admission to treatment, providing empathy and education
• Prescribe medication and write orders to stabilize patients during intake

Required Qualifications

• BS: Physician Assistant (Required)
• Registered Physician Assistant (RPA) certification from New York State Education Department (NYSED)
• Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) from the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• At least one (1) year of experience preferred in chemical dependency, primary care, or hospital medicine
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
