Tax Associate - Indirect Taxes

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Tax Associate to join their Finance tax team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the tax department with preparation and research of indirect and state tax issues
• Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly sales tax, excise tax, and gross receipts tax returns
• Research sales and use tax issues to ensure compliance with changing regulations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with specific courses in taxation
• 2-3 years of experience in sales/use tax and gross receipts tax compliance and audits
• Advanced Excel skills
• Preferred knowledge of software such as Vertex, Avalara, and Oracle
• Able to manage multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
