BrightStar Care is seeking a highly motivated self-started, multi-tasker committed to join us in our mission enhance the lives of our clients by helping them to achieve more. The On-Call Staffing Coordinator is responsible for providing after-hours assistance to both employees and clients. The On-Call Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for communicating with employees and clients over the phone, text and email. On-Call staffing coordinator will be responsible for filling employee call-offs, filling last minute shifts added by clients and facilities and communicating shift changes with clients. Flexible work environment- able to work from home (remotely) or work at the office.
Location : Remote
Responsibilities:
• Ensures that requests for home care service are filled promptly and accurately scheduled into computer system in a timely manner
• Ensures that requests for facility shifts are filled promptly and accurately scheduled into computer system in a timely manner
• Promptly provides facility or home care clients with replacement field staff in the event of a call off or no call no show
• Obtains and distributes information by telephone or text/email correspondence with employees and clients
• Problem solves scheduling challenges
• Reports any client or staff issues to Supervisor
• Sends weekend on call summary to administrative staff prior to 8am Monday
Requirements:
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and manage multiple demands simultaneously.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff and clients during stressful situations.
• Advise the Branch Manager of any obstacles to achieving their responsibilities.
• Proficiency with use of differing computer programs.
• Previous home care scheduling experience preferred.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional manner with customers, clients, coworkers, and management.
• Ability to work independently and exercise good time management.
• Complete training program and Friday hourly commitment at BrightStar Care Office
• Performs other duties as required
Work Hours:
• Minimum of 1 hour on Fridays (or over phone/Zoom)
• On Call Shift begins Friday at 4:30pm and ends Monday morning at 8:30am
• 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday
• One weekend off month (weekend off can be flexible but must be requested off at least 2 weeks in advance)
• 24 hours on Holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day. (Time and half compensation)
Equipment:
• Will be issued a company phone and tablet for on call purposes
• employee required to fill out equipment out agreement- if lost or theft employee responsible for total value of equipment
• Must have computer and access to internet
Education:
• High school or equivalent (Required)
