Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Analysis Engineer for a long-term, fully remote role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical analyses of reactor structures and components to ensure compliance with structural and pressure equipment codes
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize nuclear components design
• Document analysis results, conduct peer reviews, and mentor team members as needed

Required Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of experience with a B.S., 6+ years with an M.S., or 3+ years with a Ph.D
• Proficiency in finite element stress analysis and commercial modeling tools, especially ANSYS and SolidWorks
• Experience in mechanical analysis, including structural, thermal, and seismic analysis
• Familiarity with pressure equipment design codes and standards, such as ASME BPVC
