Splunk Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Splunk Security Engineer to support the USDA's cybersecurity operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and support the implementation of a Cybersecurity program, focusing on Splunk solutions
• Investigate security issues, perform troubleshooting, and develop remediation recommendations
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerting mechanisms for security operations

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of security experience, with a minimum of 2 years in security engineering
• Knowledge of SIEM tools and log management technologies, particularly Splunk
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 5 years of relevant experience
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required
