State Licensed Assistant General Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of attorneys responsible for the contracting function
• Provide legal review and serve as an escalation point for other attorneys
• Partner with business departments to prepare guidance and training materials for compliant negotiation of agreements

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Admission to at least one state bar and in good standing
• 10+ years of law firm or in-house experience with pharmaceutical and/or biotech companies
• Prior in-house legal experience in a global organization is preferred
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts
