Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting process for new and renewal accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite renewal business with minimal supervision and manage account documentation
  • Explain liability and program coverages to clients and process policy servicing requests
  • Evaluate policies and resolve discrepancies while maintaining account files according to company policy
Required Qualifications
  • College degree with a concentration in business or equivalent work experience
  • One year of wholesale insurance experience and state-specific insurance license required
  • Underwriting Clerk experience or three years of general insurance experience
  • Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
  • Ability to use company automation tools, including Windows and specific insurance software
