A company is looking for a Remote Underwriting Assistant to support the underwriting process for new and renewal accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite renewal business with minimal supervision and manage account documentation
- Explain liability and program coverages to clients and process policy servicing requests
- Evaluate policies and resolve discrepancies while maintaining account files according to company policy
Required Qualifications
- College degree with a concentration in business or equivalent work experience
- One year of wholesale insurance experience and state-specific insurance license required
- Underwriting Clerk experience or three years of general insurance experience
- Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
- Ability to use company automation tools, including Windows and specific insurance software
