Surgical Services Scheduling Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Scheduling Specialist in Surgical Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule all procedures for perioperative services and coordinate necessary resources and equipment
• Communicate daily with management regarding surgical conflicts, changes, and specialty requests
• Perform quality assurance checks for accuracy of the surgery schedule and ensure compliance with HIPAA policies

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Scheduling experience preferred or completion of Medical Terminology courses required without scheduling experience
• Ability to sit for long periods and react appropriately to stressful situations
• Experience with data entry and hospital-based computer systems
• Must reside in specific states as listed in the job description
