Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Collections Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve denied claims by reviewing payer policies and reimbursement structures
• Conduct outbound calls and utilize payer websites to validate claim status
• Prepare and submit appeals to insurance companies to overturn denials

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of hospital billing experience
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and managed Medicare payers
• Proficiency in using Epic and understanding denial codes
• Prior experience in handling hospital claim denials and appeals
