Triage Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Triage Specialist to perform effective telephone triage to support dermatology patients based on their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phones and return voicemails to manage patient inquiries and transfer calls as needed
• Relay pathology results, schedule appointments, and document conversations in the electronic medical record system
• Prioritize skin cancer cases and explain Mohs procedures to patients while completing pre-operative assessments

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Medical Assistant
• CCMA/RMA Certification preferred
• Experience with medical terminology and patient scheduling
• Understanding of surgical procedures and common pathology diagnoses
