Underwriting Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Specialist responsible for producing accurate and timely rates for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the quote process and evaluate technical aspects to generate accurate rates
• Identify and apply underwriting risk rules, evaluate classifications, and generate proposals within service standards
• Collaborate with Underwriters and partners to ensure data needs are met and due dates are managed

Required Qualifications

• 2-to-4-year college degree preferred or related industry experience
• Experience in customer interactions with sales reps and market distribution partners
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong work ethic with sensitivity to handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
• Willingness to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
