Job Summary
A company is looking for a Verification Authorization Assistant to support their Home Health and Hospice team.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all new referrals have insurance demographic and eligibility information entered into the electronic medical record
- Assemble admission paperwork and accurately complete required forms
- Obtain authorization for home care and hospice services and communicate necessary information with the Case Manager
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of previous office experience
- Knowledge of computer-based data entry
- Prior home care experience or knowledge of home care regulatory guidelines preferred
- Experience working with insurance strongly preferred
