Virtual Dental Front Office Receptionist: Scheduler, Biller, and Collector Needed
We are seeking motivated, cross-trained Virtual Dental Receptionists to join our growing dental office team.
Full-time or part-time.
FT (8am-8pm M-F) (up to 40+ hrs per week) or PT [ (Sat/Sun 10am to 7pm PST) or PT M-F 8am-1pm or 1-8pm ] PST Pacific Standard Time
Must: Know Dental Terminologies
Must have dental collections experience.
Must have dental receptionist and billing patient and billing insurance experience.
Must be a good communicator write good writing skills. Must be able to write well.
Fluent in English
About the Job : Mid-level Dental Receptionist/ Collector/ Dental Biller/ Dental Front Desk/ Computer Data Entry Clerk/Bookkeeper/Organizer position available at a Dental Office.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Answer phone calls, texts, and emails professionally
• Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar
• Billing & collections (patients + insurance)
• Input written information into dental software (EHR/Practice Mgmt)
• Organize paper files into digital e-files (patient charts)
• Data entry, bookkeeping, and insurance rebilling
• Communicate with insurance companies, vendors, and patients
• Assist with tracking overdue balances and making collection calls
Each team member will focus on:
1. Collections: Making collection phone calls, following up on outstanding balances, and handling billing.
2. Front Office Receptionist: Managing daily reception duties such as scheduling, patient communications, and office organization.
Both roles require strong dental knowledge, exceptional typing speed, and a commitment to excellence.
Requirements
• Fluent in English (spoken & written)
• Dental Terminology Knowledge
• 90+ WPM typing speed (without looking at your fingers)
• 10-Key by touch: 18,000 KPH minimum
• Computer literate & tech-savvy
• Personable with excellent customer service skills
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow protocols
• Independent, trustworthy, and a problem solver
• Loves to learn, trainable, and resourceful
Duties
• Answer phone calls, texts, and emails
• Schedule patient dental appointments
• Billing & collections (insurance and patients)
• Make collection calls for patient balances on payment plans and patient portion not covered by dental insurances.
• Rebill insurance claims and follow up
• Input written information into dental software
• Organize and digitize paper patient charts
• Communicate with patients, vendors, and insurance companies
• Handle data entry, light bookkeeping, and daily front office tasks
Key Expectations
• Schedules filled 2–3 weeks in advance
• Collection over 80% of what we produce
• Collection over 60% of old balances over 2 yrs old
• Weekly progress update reports required during trial period
