Job Summary
A company is looking for an Auditor Coding Education & Training (Non-Exempt).
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical record documentation for coding accuracy
- Perform revenue audit functions and provide compliance support to the revenue cycle
- Prepare reports of findings and educate providers and coders on coding practices
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High school diploma
- At least 5 years of coding experience in ICD-9-CM and HCPCS/CPT coding
- Certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CPMA to be completed within 6 months of employment
- Knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations pertaining to documentation and coding
- Preferred A.S. or B.S. in Health Information Technology or Management
