Connecticut Licensed Residential Counselor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Residential Counselor to provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medication and implement treatment plans
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living, including household chores and cooking
• Provide transportation for outings to enhance community connections

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field preferred
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or acquired brain injury preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid US driver's license for at least 6 months
• Must be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 2 weeks and MED certification within 150 days of employment
• Must pass a CORI, reference, multi-state background, and driving record check
