Director of Core Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Director of Engineering, Core.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide engineering strategy, define roadmap, and drive execution for core infrastructure, APIs, SDKs, and services
• Champion best practices in distributed systems, technical design, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to deliver seamless platform-wide experiences

Qualifications

• 10+ years in engineering leadership positions, including 3+ years in a Director+ role
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems architectures and data flows
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and technical debt management
• Prior experience scaling teams and building partnerships across various functions
