Electronic Data Interchange Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Electronic Data Interchange Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure claims processed through Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Software are correctly billed and compliant
• Conduct random audits for proper coding of CPT codes vs. diagnosis codes
• Follow up on complex insurance denials and file appeals as needed

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in medical billing, coding, or insurance collections
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding terminology (CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS)
• CPB, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, or CHONC preferred
• Experience in Medical Oncology, Radiology, Radiation, Laboratory, or Pathology preferred
