Health Benefit Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Health Benefit Ratio Value Specialist who will research Coordination of Benefits for potential dual coverage by other health insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Researches Coordination of Benefits (COB) by contacting hospitals, insurance companies, and members
• Updates the COB master file and sends correspondence to members for additional insurance information
• Identifies the need to re-adjudicate claims when applicable and performs other assigned duties

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• One year of experience in the health insurance industry preferred
• Prior experience in claims related to coordination of benefits processes is a plus
• One year of experience in a customer service environment is preferred
• Knowledge of COB guidelines and relevant resources is beneficial
