Job Summary
A company is looking for a Health Benefit Ratio Value Specialist who will research Coordination of Benefits for potential dual coverage by other health insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Researches Coordination of Benefits (COB) by contacting hospitals, insurance companies, and members
- Updates the COB master file and sends correspondence to members for additional insurance information
- Identifies the need to re-adjudicate claims when applicable and performs other assigned duties
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- One year of experience in the health insurance industry preferred
- Prior experience in claims related to coordination of benefits processes is a plus
- One year of experience in a customer service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of COB guidelines and relevant resources is beneficial
