Inpatient Coding Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coding Auditor to perform coding audits and review services remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inpatient coding audits and reviews for various facility record types
• Identify trends in audit findings and recommend corrective action plans
• Provide educational support and develop materials related to coding trends for clients

Required Qualifications

• RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification
• 3-5 years of experience in inpatient facility audits and coding
• Initiative for research to maintain knowledge and skills
• Ability to remain impartial in presenting audit findings
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with audit software and HIPAA compliance
