Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Authorization Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete authorization submissions with insurance companies, ensuring timely follow-up and documentation
• Submit appeals for denied authorizations and collaborate with teams to identify trends and propose solutions
• Work with patients and revenue cycle teammates to assist in the authorization and appeal processes

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in data entry, authorizations, or medical billing; molecular laboratory billing experience preferred
• Understanding of HIPAA and handling of protected health information (PHI)
• Working knowledge of health insurance and terminology
