A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure financial clearance for pre-service accounts prior to the date of service
- Obtain and verify accurate insurance information, benefit validation, and authorization
- Communicate with patients and physician offices regarding authorization and referral requirements
Required Qualifications and Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of financial clearance experience in an acute care setting
- NAHAM CHAA or AAHAM CRCS certification preferred
- Proficiency in Patient Registration/Patient Accounting systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to evaluate and resolve issues to avoid negative financial impact
