Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Verification Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure financial clearance for pre-service accounts prior to the date of service
  • Obtain and verify accurate insurance information, benefit validation, and authorization
  • Communicate with patients and physician offices regarding authorization and referral requirements
Required Qualifications and Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of financial clearance experience in an acute care setting
  • NAHAM CHAA or AAHAM CRCS certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Patient Registration/Patient Accounting systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to evaluate and resolve issues to avoid negative financial impact
