A company is looking for an Intake Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate financial clearance activities, including patient demographic verification and insurance authorization
- Maintain compliance with insurance requirements and assist in obtaining necessary referrals and authorizations
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve financial clearance issues and ensure timely access to care
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher preferred
- 1-3 years of patient registration and/or insurance experience, with at least one year in a customer service role
- General knowledge of healthcare terminology and insurance processes
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Suite applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle challenging situations effectively
