Medical Records Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a ROI Medical Records Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Process release of information requests accurately and timely while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Perform quality checks and maintain equipment in excellent operating condition
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain confidentiality of medical records

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) required
• A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred
• Strong computer software experience, with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Ability to type 50 wpm and use office equipment such as fax and scanners
• Must be self-motivated and possess strong organizational skills
