Job Summary

A company is looking for an Insurance Defense Trial Attorney to manage moderately complex civil litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage all phases of litigation involving claims of moderate to heavy value, including legal research and drafting legal documents
• Support senior counsel in case handling and participate in hearings, trials, and mediations
• Develop and implement advanced legal strategies while mentoring junior attorneys and ensuring compliance with legal standards

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the bar in MI and in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of successful trial attorney experience, preferably in insurance law
• Proven experience managing moderately complex litigation with favorable outcomes
• General knowledge of insurance law, and proficiency in e-discovery tools and legal case management software
